Welcome to Special Needs and Moving On Projects!

Special Needs & Moving On projectsThe Special Needs and Moving On Projects provide resources and support for workers at the post office whose children have disabilities. The projects are available to members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and the Union of Postal Communications Employees (Public Service Alliance of Canada). The Special Needs Project is geared to families with young children; the Moving On Project is for adult sons and daughters with special needs. Learning Disabilities Association of Canada (LDAC)

learning_ldacWebsite provides information about the LDAC and local chapters including national news, fact sheets, events, projects and scholarships.Website includes resource information about learning disabilities with in-depth articles for all ages and stages, research, publications, LD and the law and links.

Of special interest:

Currently there is a Learning Disabilities Association in ten provinces and two territories and from these extend a network of chapters in more than 75 communities across the country.
