Breaking through barriers for workers
who have children with special needs

Welcome to Special Needs and Moving On Projects!

Special Needs & Moving On projectsThe Special Needs and Moving On Projects provide resources and support for workers at the post office whose children have disabilities. The projects are available to members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and the Union of Postal Communications Employees (Public Service Alliance of Canada). The Special Needs Project is geared to families with young children; the Moving On Project is for adult sons and daughters with special needs. Life is more demanding when you work and have a child with special needs. Learn more about our Special Needs and Moving On projects.

Member-to-Member Connections – Special Needs Project 20th anniversary edition!

We are planning for the Summer 2016 newsletter. We will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Special Needs Project.  If you have been with the project for a few years you could send us “Then” and “Now” photos - a photo of when your child first joined the project along with a recent photo. Or you could tell us about what it was like for your child when you first joined the project and what life is like now. Any thoughts or comments you have on your time with the project would be welcome.  The deadline to have your letter or photos included in the newsletter is April 15th.
